Charley Rivers
Charley is a Louisiana native who has been involved in the writing and performing of country music now for almost three decades. He began his career in the early 90’s moving to Nashville, Tennessee for 12 years to become a singer/songwriter. This culminated in a 12-song album that was released in the early 2000’s named “Man From Another Time”. He made many performances within the Southern United States, in particular in his home state of Louisiana for this album which was very successful.
In late 2015-2016, Charley found that he wanted to take a step back from the music industry and work locally with clubs and events in Louisiana so that he could be closer to his family.
Five years ago, Charley decided that he had the ‘country music itch’ and wanted to broaden his horizons by working with producers in Nashville once again and broadening his grasp on the country music scene. He has since created a 10-song album (which is yet to be released) called “I Don’t Want To Be Wanted”.
This culmination of timeless country music has resulted in three collaborative songs.
The first, “I Don’t Want To Be Wanted’ was written by Tommy Barnes who wrote “Indian Outlaw” for Tim McGraw.
The Second, “Man From Another Time” was written by Monty Holmes who wrote “When Did You Stop Loving Me” By George Strait.
Finally, “That A Boy Girl!” Written again by Tommy Barnes.
Charley has just recently been back to Nashville and will have two brand new songs on both iTunes and Spotify at the end of May 2023. These two songs are “Old School” and “Good Time Charley”.
